The Durham Police Department has reported the August 21 death of a scooter rider on University Drive who collided with another vehicle that turned into the path of the scooter. Our sympathies go out to the scooter rider’s family. After investigating the accident, the Durham Police Department has charge the driver of the vehicle that turned in front of the scooter with failure to yield and misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
